    Composite Veneers in Poole

We offer composite veneers in Poole here at Dental on the Banks, our custom-built dental clinic. Composite veneers is otherwise known as composite bonding, a treatment which consists of the white composite material being applied to your teeth in layers to build upon them. There are three main types of this treatment:

Composite Bonding (also known as Composite Veneers or Cosmetic Bonding) refers to more fuller coverage of the tooth, like how a classic porcelain veneer (which we also offer here at Dental on the Banks) works to cover the front of the tooth to improve aesthetics and appearance.

Composite Edge Bonding is where only the edges of the teeth are treated with the composite material. This is great to make the edges of your teeth less jagged while bringing a uniformity to your teeth overall which is very noticeable when talking and smiling.

Note that for composite bonding / veneers and composite edge bonding, this is priced per tooth so you can choose to get just a single tooth or multiple teeth treated if you wish.

Injection Moulded Composite Bonding is a more advanced technique that not every dental clinic can offer. Available here with us at Dental on the Banks, it involves the use of a mould that it custom made for the patient and composite is injected into it to bring perfect personalised results for the patient’s teeth and smile. Note that a consultation is required beforehand to quote for this treatment as it will depend on the amount of composite material that is needed.

    Types of Composite Bonding

There are three main types of composite bonding possible to get you the smile aesthetic that you want and here at Dental on the Banks, we offer all three! These are composite bonding (also known as composite veneers), edge bonding and injection moulded composite bonding. Learn about all three types of composite bonding below:

    Composite Bonding
This is also known as ‘composite veneers’ or ‘cosmetic bonding’ and is the most popular type. It involves the use of the white filling material (known as composite) being applied to your natural tooth – quite like it being painted onto your teeth to make them more even and uniform in shape, size and style. Due to this, there is no damage to your natural teeth as there is no drilling or injections involved. You can see the results of this in the image above. Here at Dental on the Banks, this costs £399 per tooth.

    Edge Bonding
Like the name suggests, composite edge bonding is where just the edges of your teeth are treated. So if the edges of your teeth are quite uneven or jagged and not smooth, this is the ideal treatment for them. It targets and treats the edges of your teeth to finish them off with a sleek and straight appearance – building upon the uneven and jagged edges to make them uniform and straight. This is very popular with patients of all ages as it works to tweak the look of their smile just as they want it. You can see the results of this in the image above. Composite edge bonding at Dental on the Banks is £195 per tooth.

    Injection Moulded Composite Bonding
With this, our aesthetics dentists create a custom mould of your teeth and mouth and use this as the basis to plan exactly how you want your teeth to look. The mould is then edited to incorporate a fully new shape for your teeth and then during treatment, the mould is placed over your natural teeth so that the aesthetic dentist can inject the composite material into the ideal shapes of the mould. You can see the results of this in the image above. Injection moulded composite bonding is priced on a case-by-case basis as no two cases are ever the same.

Note: It is highly recommended that you complete teeth whitening before composite bonding (more information on teeth whitening here) so that the composite can be custom made to match this pearly white shade.

    Our Most Popular Dental Treatments

With a specialist team who are highly trained and experienced in many areas of dentistry, there are some treatments that are our most popular dental treatments. In fact these are the most popular dental treatments in order to get a perfectly straight smile of bright white teeth. They are usually completed in the following order (all by the respective specialists here at Dental on the Banks).

our most popular dental treatments dental on the banks invisalign before and after

Step 1 – Invisalign (Teeth Straightening)
If you have any misalignment or ‘crooked’ teeth etc., we start with orthodontic treatment (i.e. braces) to straighten your smile. As Invisalign specialists (Dr. Ramtin and Dr. Damon are officially recognised as among the top 300 Invisalign specialists in the entire world); we create custom Invisalign plans to help our patients to discreetly straighten their smiles with the clear Invisalign aligners. While Invisalign is our most popular orthodontic treatment, we also offer more traditional orthodontic options such as fixed metal and clear braces.

    Step 2 – Teeth Whitening
After your teeth have been straightened, teeth whitening is the next step to bring your teeth to a brighter, lighter and whiter colour. Teeth whitening at Dental on the Banks takes only two weeks to complete (you wear custom made teeth trays with the whitening gels at night time) and the results can be maintained for life! The reason teeth whitening is usually completed after teeth straightening is to make sure every side and aspect of your teeth are whitened after they have been straightened into the correct position.

    Step 3 – Composite Bonding
The final finishing touch then is called composite bonding (also known as composite veneers or cosmetic bonding). This is an optional step and can be used if your teeth have uneven surfaces or edges (such as jagged edges) or are not uniform in size. This aesthetic treatment works by applying layers of white composite material (the same material used in fillings) to your natural teeth – meaning that there is no anaesthetic or drilling involved. This step is usually completed last so that the composite material can be made to match the shade of your teeth after they have been whitened in Step 2.
