    Dentist Open During Lockdown

    If you or someone you know is in need of a dentist open during lockdown, we can help. As a private dental practice with enhanced PPE and robust health and safety protocols in place; Dental on the Banks is remaining open during the November 2020 national lockdown. As such, all currently booked appointments remain valid and going ahead and you can also book in for an appointment or consultation during this time too!

    Health, hygiene and safety has always been the focus of what we do here at Dental on the Banks – putting patient care and wellbeing at the forefront of our passion for perfection. We have four different levels of PPE in place for our staff (different levels required for different treatments) and clear screens at our reception desks for example. When you come to our pristine practice; you will be given hand sanitiser, a complimentary face covering (or you can wear your own one if you prefer) and disposable shoe coverings. We also have air purifiers on too to help clear and filter particles in the air.

    The Dental on the Banks Experience

    We are so glad to be back open to be able to see and treat all of our patients again! As our team is back in action with our enhanced PPE and protocols, you can continue your journey to get the smile of your dreams with the full Dental on the Banks experience. While there are some changes in place (such as no / less waiting in our lobby and we are unable to provide refreshments for now); our level of care for you and your smile remains higher than ever!


    Before you enter the practice, you will be able to check-in for your appointment digitally using your phone. We will also check-in with you two days before your appointment to make sure you are feeling well and have not been experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. When you do come into the practice, your temperature will be taken and we will also provide you with a face covering, shoe coverings and hand sanitisation.


    Even though we are back open, we will still be offering FREE online consultations for all. In this way not only do we minimise contact, but you can also book in for a time and date that suits you to discuss your smile, your smile goals, interest free payment plans and more with our team!     Dentist PPE and the New Normal

    Now that we are back open after ‘lockdown’, when you come for your appointment there will be an element of the ‘new normal’ when it comes to your patient journey. For starters, we have altered our appointments diary so that we minimise the amount of people (both staff and patients) in the practice at any one time. See this in the video above below.


    Before you enter the practice, you will be able to check-in for your appointment digitally using your phone. We will also check-in with you two days before your appointment to make sure you are feeling well and have not been experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. When you do come into the practice, your temperature will be taken and we will also provide you with a face covering, shoe coverings and hand sanitisation.

    You will then come straight through to the consultation or treatment room where our air filters (throughout the practice) will always be on and working. As we are sure you can understand, these steps are taken to ensure your own safety and the safety of our team and fellow patients too. We have always been a safe and sterile environment. Even so, we want to take the time to show you our enhanced dentist PPE and protocols that we have put in place to offer you the optimum in health, hygiene and safety anytime you attend for treatment.


    In the video below, Dr. Damon demonstrates the different versions of enhanced dentist PPE we have invested in which includes full head-to-toe PPE, surgical standard respirators, upgraded aerosol shields and more! These will be implemented as required for certain treatments. Between all appointments as always, the team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery – thus reducing the risk of exposure to anything harmful while you attend.
